1. Give employees a reason to care. If people aren’t feeling connected to your organization, there’s little incentive for them to be innovative.
2. Offer fifteen percent time. William McKnight at 3M invented this concept. This policy allowed employees to spend 15 percent of their paid work time daydreaming, doodling or experimenting with ideas.
3. Incentivize Revenue Generating ideas. Give the idea executor a percentage of the sales.
