1. Notice body language. Be aware of:

  • Eye contact
  • Facial expressions
  • Body positions

2. If someone appears stressed, as a manager you don’t have to be a therapist, rather:

  • Be a good listener
  • Show that you understand
  • Avoid judging
  • Only offer advice if asked
