Strategy is where all your organization’s Goals and Tasks live. Here, we’ll cover how to add a Goal, add a Task, and make edits to your Goals and Tasks.

To get started

To get started with Strategy, click the Strategy icon on the left sidebar.

Add a goal in Strategy

  1. Click the ‘Add Goal’ button
  • It’ll open the ‘Add Goal’ modal. You’ll see all the components you need to create a Goal:
  • Goal Type (Select between Organization, Location, Department, and Personal)
  • Goal Title
  • Due Date
  • Status (Select between Not Started, On Hold, In Progress, Complete)
  • Priority (Select between: Could, Should, Must, Need)
  • Owner (choose who is responsible for the goal)
  1. Click the ‘Submit’ button to save your changes.

You can also add a Goal in Summary (1:1s). See below to learn more.

Add a goal in Summary (1:1s)

During your 1:1, you may want to add a new Goal based on your discussion. The ‘Create Goal’ button will help you add a new Goal to Strategy without having to leave the 1:1 Meeting.

How to add a Goal

  1. Click the ‘Create Goal’ button
  2. Complete the prompts in the ‘Add Goal’ modal.
  3. Click the ‘Submit’ button.

Check Progress

At the bottom of the Strategy, section are two graphs. One graph helps you track the priority level of goals and the other graph helps you monitor the status of goals.

  • The navy section shows the percentage of goal that have a ‘Could’ status
  • The purple section shows the percentage of goal that have a ‘Should’ status
  • The burgundy section shows the percentage of goal that have a ‘Need’ status
  • The pink section shows the percentage of goal that have a ‘Must’ status

  • The navy section shows the percentage of goal that have a ‘Not Started’ status
  • The purple section shows the percentage of goal that have a ‘On Hold’ status
  • The burgundy section shows the percentage of goal that have a ‘Could’ status
  • The pink section shows the percentage of goal that have a ‘Could’ status

Add a task in Strategy

Once a goal has been created, you can add all of the tasks that will help you complete the goal. To add tasks follow these steps:

  1. Click on the view button next to your goal
  2. Click the ‘Add task’ button
  3. The ‘Add Task’ modal will appear. You’ll see all the components you need to create a Task:
  4. Task Title
  5. Due Date
  6. Status (Select between Not Started, On Hold, In Progress, Complete)
  7. Priority (Select between: Could, Should, Must, Need)
  8. Owner (choose who is responsible for the Task)
  9. Click the ‘Submit’ button to save your changes.

Add a task in Summary (1:1s)

During your 1:1, you may want to add a new Task based on your Goal discussion. The ‘Create Task’ button will help you add a new Task to Strategy without having to leave the 1:1 Meeting.

Note: There must be a Goal in the system before adding tasks.

How to add a Task

  1. Click the ‘Create Task’ button
  2. Complete the prompts in the ‘Add Task’ modal.
  3. Click the ‘Submit’ button.

Request help from others

When working on Goals and Tasks, you may, from time to time, want help from your teammates. The ‘Request help’ button makes it easy to ask for support from others.

How to ask for help

  1. Under Actions, click the ‘Request Help’ button next to the goal you’d like support with.
  2. The ‘Request help’ modal will appear. You’ll see all the components you need to request help:
  3. Estimated Time Needed
  4. Who you’d like to request help from
  5. What’s your issue
  6. What you’ve tried so far
  7. Click ‘send request,’ and an email will be sent to the person you requested help from.
